Now that we’re a couple months into the New Year it might be a good time to check back in with your goals for 2017. Are you on track? Sometimes I think I am but when I actually start paying attention I’m not doing as well as I assumed I was. I made a habit tracker for my personal size Finsbury Filofax to keep myself accountable and now you can download it for free too!
With the explosion in the popularity of planners recently it’s getting way too easy to blow a bunch of money on inserts and accessories, but it’s always good to remember that at the end of the day planners are just good old fashioned paper! To make the habit tracker I just use normal letter paper in my printer and cut this down to size.
The golden hole punch was my splurge to celebrate successfully using my planner for all of 2016 (it was originally $40 at Michael’s but I used a 50% off coupon for a total for $20), but before I bought the planner punch I used a single hole punch with paper that was already punched in the right places as a guide (it just took a little longer).
The way I use my habit tracker is by colouring in the blocks using a different colour for each habit. To be honest I originally did this just to make it pretty but I actually find it motivates me to try and balance out my goals (after all, you can’t have a rainbow with only one or two colours!).
I am making the excel file available so you can edit it if you need to (e.g. type in your own habits).

And now I can colour in today for a blog post! I hope it helps you stay on track with your goals too.
