Who am I?
My name is Lindsay and I am a young professional in a small Canadian city trying to navigate life at the cross-sections of radical feminism, old-fashioned interests and sometimes apocalypse planning. I always have multiple projects on the go and love to learn new things! This blog is my space to share my thoughts and projects and to contribute to the wealth of free information available on the internet.
What I love about blogging
I am part of the first generation that really grew up alongside the internet, and I have always used it to connect with like-minded people. I think that there are a ton of upsides to a sharing economy, and I owe a debt of gratitude to the hundreds of bloggers over the years who have taught me how to to cook, crochet, grow my own food and so much more! I want to repay that debt now by sharing my own knowledge (through lots of mistakes! and hopefully fixes) with others like me.
What I love about DIY
I love the way the internet allows people to connect with each other but I think the level of technology in our lives also has its costs. Most people spend a lot of time now living in a world we can’t touch. I believe that part the crisis in self-esteem that we have today is that people have lost touch with the pride that comes with making something with your own two hands. Most adults don’t realize they still need a creative outlet! For me, making beautiful things I can see and touch is good for my soul, and I want to share that with you.
